Commitment to diversity and comment about
Pride at Work Canada
Diversity at Bell means more than just fulfilling our legal responsibilities under the Employment Equity Act or being seen as a responsible corporate citizen.
Bell’s commitment to supporting the many facets of diversity includes our LGBT Affinity groups (currently in Toronto and Montréal), which focus on providing peer support, mentoring, networking opportunities, community involvement and creating LGBT awareness.
Vision for the future
The Bell Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Affinity Group hopes to build on its success by creating an open and supportive network to help remove existing barriers and fears related to sexual orientation and identification. As a network that embraces diversity, LGBT friends and supporters are encouraged to become members and to participate in events.
The Bell LGBT Affinity Group is focused on a number of initiatives to grow and strengthen the group. We are establishing local LGBT primes in our various locations, seeking out opportunities for community involvement, improved visibility both inside and outside of Bell and continuing to host networking events for our members.
